Here at First, the GROW Zone is the place for children from Bed Babies to Grade 5. Our goal is to provide opportunities for every child to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).

You and your child will be greeted by one of our loving workers who will help direct you to check your child in by receiving a name tag and a pager. Your child’s safety is important to us at First as the location of the GROW Zone allows for limited access in order to ensure a safe and secure environment for all children. All workers also receive a background check before they are allowed to serve in any ministry related to children.

Regular Events

Kids Worship

Your child will have a blast in this exciting worship service created just for kids. Children will participate in the regular worship service for approximately 20 minutes, then will be dismissed to First Kids Worship. During this time children will learn to worship through songs, prayer, offering, and Bible teaching. 

Awana

awana

Awana develops spiritually strong children who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. It is a fun filled time with positive teaching, scripture memorization, and games. Awana helps our children find joy in learning scripture and growing closer to God.  Awana takes place on Sunday nights from 5 - 6:30pm. Register here

Kids Music

Music helps our children to praise the Lord through creative outlets and impact others through their praise. Our children will be learning basic music and will be able to explore their gifts and talents while learning how to use those gifts to share God with others.

Bible and a bow (fall & Spring)

Bible and a Bow is a wonderful program for children beginning in Grade 3 to learn archery skills while learning how to center their life towards Christ. "I press on towards the goal  to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus" -Phil. 3:14.  The 8 week program is offered twice throughout the year.  All equipment is provided for those taking the class. Be on the look out for upcoming Centershot dates!

What is a Baby Dedication? It is a ceremony in which believing parents, and sometimes entire families make a commitment before the Lord to submit a child to God’s will and to raise that child according to God’s Word and God’s ways. If you would like to participate in a baby dedication, please call the church office at 270-821-3611.
