FBC offers several mission groups, mission activities, and other ministry opportunities for our members. All are meant to fulfill our vision.

WMU—Women’s Missionary Union. Women on Mission has three groups that meet once/month to study missions, pray for missionaries, give to missions, and be missionaries in the following ways (and more):
- Stock/organize food closet
- Deliver flowers to sick and shut-ins
- Send birthday cards to homebound
- Take magazines to hospitals
- Help with BSU luncheon
- Host Baptist Women’s Day of Prayer
Loving Kindness Team—Provide meals for families after the death of a family member.
Fix-It Folks—Build ramps for the homes of disabled, do minor repairs and renovation for the elderly, disabled, or unable.
Children’s Missions—Music and Missions meets on Wednesday evenings 5:30 to 7pm Children learn about the great commission, what missionaries do, and how they can be involved in missions. The Children alternate with solid musical activities and performance opportunities which teach them how to lead in worship. Click here to visit the Children's Mission page.
Womens’ Enrichment Ministry-Host special activities for women (scrap-booking day, wreath-making class, cookie/recipe exchange, etc.), plan brunches for new members and visitors, organize Operation Christmas Child (a Samaritan’s Purse project that delivers gift-filled shoeboxes to children around the world), and more.
We are involved in local mission projects as well. Several men are currently working on a home here in Madisonville for a family ranging in age from birth to senior adult. We completed a window and siding on Labor Day, September 6, 2010. See pics below.
As of January 2011, this team has embarked on assisting the Triangle House, a support ministry for women in recovery. Interested and have some basic construction skills? Call Bill Thomas, 821-3611.
Church Prayer Team—Pray for seekers and the unchurched, for prospects and new members, for the church staff, and for our church body to be a light in our community.
Greeters Team—Greet guests & members before and after services.
Cards and Calls Ministry—follow-up with guests/seekers
Home visits to guests, seekers, and or new members
Organize guest packets with information about the church for children (plastic cups), youth (plastic cups), and adults (coffee cups).
Activities Committee—Plan special activities to draw the community into the Church.
Baptismal Committee—Assist the Pastor and candidates in preparing for baptism. Implement improvements in baptismal facilities.
Media/Library Committee—Assist in the administration and operation of the church library.
Office volunteer—Weekdays (file, organize, send mailings, answer phones, etc.), Sunday mornings (answer phones)
Transportation—Drive bus for large groups (CDL certified) and/or for Sunday morning services (no CDL required)
Benevolence Committee—Assist in screening requests for Benevolent Aid.
Bus Committee—Maintain church vehicles and enlist drivers.
Food Service Committee—Assist in the operation of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with the church policies of operation.
Missions Committee—Discover possibilities for local mission projects and share findings with the church.
Return to Bethlehem—Assist in planning this live, bi-annual walk-through Christmas drama.
